I think that since Jesus was a healer and He told His disciples to continue His work, I believe we have healers among us. I know healing can be done by prayers and through someone's faith. However, some mediums need to lay hands on the patients and put on all that show for one reason... and the reason is this: that's the way we believe... As human beings, we tend to doubt what our eyes can't see. God has a purpose on putting people like John of God among us. He wants to reach people's hearts. How did people believe in Jesus? By seing with their own eyes the miracles He was performing. If Jesus never used this kind of stuff, would people believe solely on what he was saying? Your opinion and thoughts... John of God is famous because people witness and give testimony. If one gets healed, it is natural to spread the news and it gets even bigger stuff with the media help. However, that doesn't mean he looks forward to fame. He sees hundreds of people per day, working hard for hours and hours, he provides food for everyone and does everything for free. I refuse to accept the idea this is demon stuff, when all he does is help people. One more thing, John of God in portugues is "Joao de Deus" which is a common name for a child, that's not exactly a title he gave himself. Actually he is very humble person and atributes his gift solely to spirits, claiming he is just a tool in spirits' hands. Spirits sent by God.

But my master has not enough information and here I know no body to help me... I have many questions where can I find a good expert to ask my many questions? where can I find good articles...? I don't believe in God, please don't want me to pray... I believe only in being kind to the humankind and trying to make the world a better place to live.

For those who haven't heard, it is a spiritual healing method to heal the people physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well being by using the universal energy that surrounds us everyday. I got a book about it, "Reiki for Dummies" and it's very useful for educating to people about chakras, manifestation, distant and close contact healing. I have been practicing it for two days and it already helps me with sours, headaches, etc. All I need is a Reiki Master to train me in person and i'm all good. And since I meditate everyday for 7.5 mouths, I have no problems getting that energy. Is there anyway to improve my Reiki methods besides meditation? Like any special diets, exercise or other activities among those lines?

I know the 2 are some what similar but in a way different. Here is my case. I believe in the paranormal, and I am currently studying the occult science. But I also want to help people using The New Age movement. Even tho magick exists, I don't think all healing should be solved by a spell/ritual. My husband has psychotic bipolar with self-mutilating tendancies (cutter). We were going to send him to Atl to a program called For My Life. His medicine has brought him a long way, but he needs to heal his spirit to be complete. This place in Atl is run by nun's and is 'a program of intense ministry...'. We aren't joined with a specific demonination, but are spiritual, so we thought this would be OK. As soon as he told the sectry. he was a cutter, she sd that was the devil, he wld have to have supervision constantly, and (in other words) would be accepted, but not welcomed. I began to get close to a reiki practioner. He was full of knowledge but then I caught on to this habit he has of manipulating clients, (he only sees females, by the way), to have sex with him. I went to get some reiki today and was told by the practitioner that this chakra of mine is almost non existent (a very dark place - she said). I googled it and found out that this chakra is linked to anorexia and bulimia (which I had as a teenager and into my mid twenties)) and reproduction problems (dealing with now). She said she wonders if this has to do with sexual abuse. Anyway... whatever the reason for it, how do I heal it. Can crystals in a velvet bag be used in crystal healing, or does the velvet block the energies? I have a crystal in a velvet bag, said to protect it from absorbing foreign vibrations. Can i still use it while it's still IN the bag to meditate ot heal with, or will the velvet block all/most energies?
